Studio spaces

My studio space

Sometimes it's just nice to see where other people work from. This is my main workbench where I make my collages and artist books. The screenprinting bench is adjacent. It's in a section of the garage that I affectionally call 'my studio' and when I'm perched at my desk working away the world dissolves around me. I can watch the birds in the grevillia outside my window or just melt into my current work. I love it.

Thanks for posting your workspace, it is always so inspiring to see where artists produce their work. I visited CPM yesterday for the first time and was so impressed by the studio and with the way Brett answered all my questions with such enthusisam. I walked away very excited at the prospect of using the facility and was inspired to go home and put ideas to paper!

Good on you Kathy. You should think about asking about the mentoring program as well. Bret and Phillip will be holding them in etching and collographs in November. Well worth applying for.

Wow, just about to photograph my work place, it's a bit messy at the moment. I have my machine in my house, so I should leave it on my studio bench

Hi Heather, Long time no see. I adore peering into the creative spaces of fellow makers. The studio is such a romantic space for me, a somewhat mysterious and curious place where we share conversations with ourselves, scream frustrations and ask questions. Thanks for sharing - now off to post images of my studio! Cheers Jo.
